Panorama tour through the nature reserve

This journey takes you through the original nature reserve of “Ribeira de Algibre” (Europa SIC 2000). The former agricultural land is full of old stone walls reclaimed by nature. They now serve as the perfect habitat for local wildlife.

Our trail takes us along the small river “Ribeira de Algibre”, which bursts with life and has an astonishing array of plants and animals. You can find all of Portugal’s traditional fruit and plants, such as carob, olives, almonds and figs. In the untouched nature, a very rare Orchid also blooms.

The excursion continues onto the tallest point, the “Pico de Espargal”. When the sky is clear you can see up to 50km of the Algarve. A picturesque place for a delicious picnic.

Program

• Pick up at the meeting point at Paderne’s football stadium.
• Get together with a Welcome drink and an initial briefing.
• A quick induction with the donkeys.
• Getting ready to go – we get the donkeys ready.
• The laidback excursion begins.
• We stop for delicious picnic at an idyllic location.
• We arrive at the donkey farm and feed our furry companions
• Swimming in a natural pool (optional)
• Transfer back to the meeting point
